Site Maintenance
Content Updates
Derventio Caledonian provides a Site Maintenance Service which will allow you to update your website content and have minor changes or amendments made through us. This will be essential if you do not have a Content Management System (CMS) built in to allow you or your staff to make your own changes direct. As well as content updates, we will maintain and fix small site issues that may also arise from time to time.
Sites that are equipped with a client CMS may also require minor changes to be made that will fall outside of the permissions set. We will also carry out changes to the CMS setup, structure and/or minor functionality under this service.
'Content changes' may be anything from text modification through to site layout or colour changes. Prices are charged per half hour which means that clients only pay for what they need. Obviously a CMS system can pay for itself in the long run as it will cost less for you to maintain your own site content rather than have us do it for you.
Although we can provide a full text creation service for websites, we encourage clients to provide us with all amendments to text or images they would like added to their site. This will reduce the update time and minimise the cost.
If you require a major structural or functional update to an existing site our Overhaul Service may be more cost effective.
Security Upgrades
Derventio Caledonian will carry out free of charge any work necessary to install security and other essential upgrades* to the core site operating system.
Functional Upgrades
Derventio Caledonian can provide increased functionality and additional facilities to a website. This might include the addition of facilities to host forums, blogs, frequently asked question sections, polls or other similar functions. To do this the site must originally have been designed and built by us, or use the same core system technology as our designs.
